Comfortable beds; Modern and contemporary, as promised
Value for Money
The hotel looks great, both outside and inside. The cladding on the hotel exterior gives it character. The lobby is as light, airy and spacious as promised. The high ceiling is really great.
We stayed in a suite. If you're staying in a suite yourself, I recommend that you request one at the South wing of the hotel, if available. Rooms on the East side (facing the Bicol River) offer great morning sun.
One thing that struck me when we reached our floor was the wonderful fragrance of the hallway (citrus notes, very pleasant and refreshing). The room, too, smelled great (none of the typical "kulob" smells of hotels). The beds are really, really comfortable. There were two bolster pillows and four King pillows (if I'm not mistaken about their size) on the bed (and in the closet, two extra pillows sans pillow cases, which you may request if needed). The comforter was very, very soft.
And the breakfast the next day was truly satisfying. My favorite was the homemade mixed fruit marmalade. On toast (wheat bread) with butter, it was divine. It was quite a spread. We were lucky we came when the breakfast buffet was available (Note: breakfast buffet is available during high occupancy; otherwise, the hotel will serve a set breakfast).
